The Wang audio visual and production staff consists of a full-time production manager, on-call professional technicians, and well-trained student assistants. Our technicians are extremely personable, friendly and ready to assist you with your needs here at the Wang Center & beyond.

AV Specs by Room at the Wang Center
- Walk up media station with a VGA connection and 1/8” plug to take audio from laptop. Include ceiling speakers for audio from video. The room is also equipped with a DVD player. Projected image is 7 feet wide.

- Includes a bright 90-inch High Definition LED display. HDMI hookup to take video and audio from a laptop or other device. The modern display ensures that images remain clear even with the abundance of natural sunlight.
- Includes a Panasonic PT-RZ770 (7200 lumens High-Definition DLP Laser Projector). HDMI input for laptops is at the lectern on the stage along with a 1/8” plug to take audio from a headphone jack. A microphone at the lectern on stage. One wireless microphone is available (either lavalier or handheld). Projected image is 18 feet wide.

A microphone at the lectern on stage. Two wireless microphones are available (lavalier and handheld). Projected image is 13 feet wide.
The Wang Theater stage is 25’ wide by 25’ deep. There are legs hung on both sides of the stage to mask the backstage areas. Batons over the stage are fixed and cannot move. Scenery may be dead hung in several locations. There is a main curtain that can be used that is 2 feet from the plaster line.
The theater includes a Panasonic PT-RZ12K 12,000 lumens High-Definition DLP Laser Projector. The theater has a 14’ wide by 8’ tall projection screen flown over the stage and above the presenters on stage to ensure optimal lines of sight. A larger 24’ wide screen that fills the entire stage opening is also available for showing videos when appropriate.
The theater is equipped with a sound system that is appropriate for the space. Speakers are flown above the proscenium and utilizes a 32 channel Midas Verona sound console. There are 4 wireless microphones readily available and 16 wired microphone inputs from the stage that can be used. Audio monitors are on the stage for performances or to ensure questions from the audience can be heard on stage.
The theater also has a full lighting plot. The repertory plot that is standard in the theater contains approximately 90 lighting fixtures and over 100 dimmers with various purposes and colors. The lighting system is controlled by an ETC Expression and is capable of two DMX universes.
