Environmental Justice
The Center's focus on environmental justice (EJ) incorporates its three lenses of epistemic, aesthetic, and social justice at local and global levels. It also intersects with SBU's role in the New York Climate Exchange and the Collaborative for the Earth (C4E).
PROJECTS
Women-Led Climate Resilient Farming model
Working with marginalized women farmers in India who have developed a one-acre model of climate resilient farming. In collaboration with CCSP, women farmers have collected over 700 surveys to study the impact of this model. We are in the process of analyzing this data. MORE INFO
In collaboration with NYU's Future of Rights Governance (FORGE), the Center is working on developing human rights centered frameworks to address ecological emergencies. MORE INFO
