ADVANCED ENERGY 2010 IN NEW YORK CITY
Roundtable Participants to Discuss State of Clean Energy EPA Regulation, and Continued Investment in Clean Tech Research
On Monday, November 8, the worlds of business, government, research and academia will come together to examine the future of the clean energy economy at Advanced Energy 2010, produced by the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at Stony Brook University. Robert Catell, Chairman of the AERTC, Bob Gilligan, Vice President, GE’s Digital Energy business, Richard Kessel, President and CEO of the New York Power Authority (NYPA), and Francis J. Murray, Jr., President and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) , are scheduled to speak at the roundtable taking place on the first day of Advanced Energy 2010 at the New York Hilton (1335 Avenue of the Americas, between W. 53rd and W. 54th Streets) from 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
Participants in this roundtable will discuss the continuing evolution of the new energy landscape in the United States, and increasing investment into green technologies. They will bring their unique insights to a broad range of energy issues affecting both the United States as a whole, and New York on a state level. Among those in attendance include representatives from National Grid, Verizon, IBM, and the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA).
Advanced Energy 2010, representing the conference’s fourth year, will take place November 8 and 9. Over the course of the two days, the nation’s leading experts in advanced energy will present keynote and panel presentations on issues related to energy policy, innovation and entrepreneurship, energy sector finance, development of the smart grid, green building technology, energy efficiency, and the potential of solar and wind technologies, among others. Media that have registered for the roundtable are invited to stay for the remainder of the conference and may attend any of the presentations on the agenda.
