SBU SELECTED AS ANCHOR INSTITUTION FOR NY CLIMATE EXCHANGE

New York City Mayor Eric Adams and The Trust for Governors Island announced that Stony Brook University will serve as the anchor institution for the development of a world-leading climate solutions center on Governors Island in the city’s harbor. 

ELECTRICAL AND ENERGY EFFICIENCIES

Stony Brook University's Sustainability Department released a proprietary Energy Dashboard that displays real-time energy usage across each building on campus, paving the way for future energy-reduction projects and initiatives.

FILL IT FORWARD

The Office of Sustainability partnered with FSA to introduce the Fill It Forward program to the university. Since its inception in August of 2018 there have been over 1,000 refills registered on the Fill It Forward app.
