Michael J. Hults, P.E., LEED AP

Michael J. HultsMr. Hults has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of engineering and construction, including the design of electrical, energy, security, civil and mechanical engineering projects, as well as the construction/project management of electrical, energy, security, civil, nuclear, environmental, mechanical, and transportation projects.

As Partner and MEPS Operations Manager, Mr. Hults supervises a division of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Energy, Security and supportive engineers in the design, construction administration and project close-out for all MEPS ventures. His technical responsibilities include quality control and assurance, staffing, scheduling, project finances, risk and needs assessment, commissioning, and code analysis. His electrical project experience encompasses the design and construction supervision of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation and control systems, emergency power generation systems, solar photovoltaic technology, wind turbines, wireless communication, fiber optic and IP communication, fire notification and protection systems, digital and analog electronics, and life safety codes/ devices.

Mr. Hults developed and manages Cameron’s Energy Efficiency, Conservation and Renewable Energy Design and Construction program. His recent notable projects include Con Edison’s Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program, FDNY’s facility energy improvements and upgrades, Town of Smithtown Recycling Center Wind Turbine, Eastport LEED Gold K-2 School, Agilitas’ LIC battery energy storage system (25MWh), Nassau County Forensic Lab, New Cassel’s LEED Platinum Community Center Solar Photovoltaics (rooftop, carports and solar trees), NYSERDA Flex Tech energy consulting projects (LL97 studies) and NYCHA energy retrofits & modeling.

Mr. Hults has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Missouri University, a Graduate Certificate in Construction Management from Missouri University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from Lake Superior State University, and a Bachelor of Science and Applied Technology degree in  Nuclear Engineering from Thomas Edison University.
