Katherine (Kathy) Boden

Katherine BodenKatherine L. Boden is the Senior Vice President of Gas Operations at Consolidated Edison Company of New York. Ms. Boden is responsible for leading over twelve hundred professionals in the safe design, construction, maintenance, and operation of our natural gas system. She is leading the transition of her diverse team in their five-year vision of Excellence Today, Shaping Tomorrow - sustaining the safety, quality, and reliability of our natural gas system today as we move to de-carbonize our overall energy delivery systems of tomorrow.

Ms. Boden has over thirty years of experience in utility operations at Con Edison – twenty in electric underground distribution and eleven in natural gas. She was Manhattan Electric Control Center Manager during the events of September 11th, 2001, coordinating the company's restoration of power to lower Manhattan. She held positions as Chief Distribution Engineer and General Manager of Substations South before being promoted to Vice President for Manhattan Electric Operations in 2005. Ms. Boden moved to Gas Operations in April of 2010, then to Gas Engineering in 2017 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2021. She has over a decade of experience running our natural gas distribution system, including leading a large safety sensitive organization, planning, mitigating risk, managing work plans and budgets, representing the company in regulatory matters, and actively engaging in industry associations.

Ms. Boden has been a member of the Solar One Board since 2011. Ms. Boden is the Company's co-representative on the EPRI-GTI Low Carbon Research Initiative, is on the American Gas Association's Leadership Council and the Northeast Gas Association's Board of Directors. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University and an MBA in Management, cum laude, from Hofstra University.
